Counseling Services

Individual Counseling

Individual counseling, also known as psychotherapy or one-on-one therapy, is a professional service where a client and a trained therapist meet to discuss mental health concerns and life issues. It can help people with a variety of issues, including:

  • Depression and mood disorders
  • Anxiety
  • Grief counseling
  • Life transitions
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • ADHD
  • Behavioral concerns
  • Substance use

Individual counseling can be helpful for people who are struggling with complex life events, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, or job loss. It can also be beneficial for people who are dealing with ongoing stressors, such as chronic illness or relationship problems.

Marriage and Couples Counseling

Marriage and couples counseling is a type of therapy that helps couples understand and resolve conflicts in their relationship. The goal is to improve communication, trust, and relationship satisfaction.

Addiction Counseling

Addiction counseling focuses on helping patients overcome substance use disorders and other unhealthy dependencies.

Addiction counselors provide and coordinate services for people with a range of substance use and other behavioral addictions and health problems. They provide treatment and support to help clients recover from addiction and modify problematic behaviors.

Bilateral Stimulation EMDR

Bilateral stimulation (BLS) is a technique used in EMDR therapy to help the brain process traumatic memories.  Bilateral stimulation is thought to work in EMDR by activating both sides of the brain which allows for the processing of memories, emotions, and incidents that are stuck in the nervous system.

CBT- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT helps clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, learn new problem-solving skills, and gain a better understanding of themselves. The goal is to replace negative thinking with more realistic and encouraging thoughts.
